LA Art Walk Guide 2026: Monthly Gallery Events

LA's art walk scene is thriving. Here's your month-by-month guide to gallery openings, art walks, and exhibitions across the city.

Downtown Art Walk (2nd Thursday)

The original LA Art Walk happens every second Thursday in the Historic Core. Galleries along Spring and Main streets open their doors from 6-10pm. The vibe is electric β€” street performers, food trucks, and a mix of established galleries and pop-up exhibitions. Don't miss the Hive Gallery for contemporary local artists.

Brewery Art Walk (Spring & Fall)

Twice a year, the world's largest artist colony opens its doors. Over 100 artists in the converted Pabst Blue Ribbon brewery show their work across 16 acres. It's free, and you can buy art directly from the artists. The spring event usually happens in April, fall in October.

First Fridays at the Natural History Museum

Not strictly an art walk, but First Fridays at NHM combine science, music, and art in one of LA's most beautiful venues. Each month has a different theme with DJs, discussions, and after-hours access to the exhibits. Tickets sell out, so book early.

Hammer Museum: Free Admission

The Hammer in Westwood is always free and has consistently excellent contemporary exhibitions. Their biennial Made in L.A. show is a must-see survey of emerging LA artists. Free tours on Sundays at 1pm.
