Melrose Avenue has long been LA's vintage shopping mecca. But with so many stores, it can be overwhelming. Here's where to spend your time and money.
American Vintage
Specializing in well-curated Americana β think vintage denim jackets, worn-in band tees, and cowboy boots. The owners have a great eye, and the prices are fair for the quality. Expect to find pieces from the 60s through 90s.
Wasteland
A massive two-story space with a mix of vintage and contemporary consignment. The vintage section in the back has designer finds if you're willing to dig. Their denim collection is particularly strong, with Levi's from every era.
The Way We Wore
For serious vintage collectors, this high-end boutique specializes in rare designer pieces from Chanel, YSL, and Ossie Clark. Prices are steep, but the curation is museum-quality. A must-visit even just to browse.
