You don't need to spend a fortune to see great live music in Los Angeles. Here are the best venues and shows where tickets stay under $30.
The Echo & Echoplex
These sister venues in Echo Park are LA's best spots for discovering new music. Most shows are $15-25, and the booking consistently punches above its weight. The Monday night residency series (free entry) has launched careers.
Hollywood Bowl: $1 Seats
The Bowl releases $1 bench seats for most classical and jazz performances. They're way in the back, but you can bring your own food and wine. Even full-price tickets for many Tuesday and Wednesday shows start around $25 β a steal for a venue of this caliber.
The Moroccan Lounge
An intimate 250-capacity room in the Arts District with a stellar sound system. Most shows are $15-20, and you're never more than 50 feet from the stage. Their calendar skews indie rock and electronic.
Levitt Pavilion (Free)
MacArthur Park's Levitt Pavilion hosts 50 free concerts every summer. The lineup spans Latin, jazz, world music, and indie. Bring a blanket and a picnic β it's one of the best free summer activities in the city. Shows run June through September.
